Mothers do so much. Not only are they taking care of their children and doing all the household chores, but also working full time jobs. I have so much respect for all the mothers out there, especially those who work as full-time stay-at-home moms. It’s tough raising a kid. Shoot, I know I gave my mom one heck of a time as a child. I was a stubborn kid and quite a picky eater...okay, maybe I still am :)
Here are some images from a recent maternity session I did with Tanya, in my painterly aesthetic that is sort of becoming a signature style for me. I accomplish this look all in-camera and not only through post processing.
During this shoot, it was absolutely magical when Tanya started to completely relax in front of the camera. I could see how comfortable and confident she was, which paved the way for some of the most beautiful photographs that I have had the opportunity to create. The female body is something stunning, isn’t it? It only gets more beautiful through the stages of becoming a mother.
Congratulations to Tanya for giving birth to an adorable baby boy this past week! It was so rewarding to photograph the beauty of the bond they share as mother and son, even before she brought him into this world!
In honor of Valentines Day coming up, I am offering a $125 discount to all my maternity photo sessions for the month of February. If you know someone who would be interested in getting maternity photographs done in my signature painterly aesthetic, send them my way and I will give you a $50 credit toward any future portrait session with me for any referrals that book with me.
